Orange Monte Carlo

Orange Monte Carlo is based on ZTE Skate and this mobile phone goes in budget class of smartphones. Even it has pretty large screen it is lightweight. Also this is Android 2.3 OS powered device that will be released by UK network.
Plastic is shiny but not that good quality it’s magnet for fingerprints. Orange Monte Carlo has three physical keys at bottom made from same plastic but it is little better this time, they are nicely spaced and fells nice to use.

Even it has 4.3 inches display able to show 480*800 pixels it weights only 120 g. Also pixel density is very nice, 217 pixels per inch is something that you would not expect on budget mobile phone. Orange Monte Carlo has no problems with HD images at 1080p but video quality is not at top level.

Orange Monte Carlo runs on Qualcomm MSM7227T processor clocked at 800 MHz and chipset based on ARMv6 with Adreno 200 GPU. All this is backed up with 512 MB of RAM. When it comes to memory we think that this probably is the weakest area of this device since built in memory that is available to user is only 150MB. This can be expanded with microSD card of up to 32GB. We have noticed that Orange Monte Carlo can be sluggish from time to time and it probably is because Gingerbread needs more power but it’s not that bad.

  1. Camera is pretty good, 5 MP with addition of LED flash and auto-focus. There is no physical camera button and video is not that bad but we seen much better. Surprise was a sound quality and speakers that were loud so you will be able to counter almost any other mobile phone when it comes to loudness and quality.
